Kotiro Paki was the third child of five to hori Kupai Paki and Te Marae Mahuta. Her brothers and sisters included Tonga now deceased the oldest,  Wairangi now living in Austrralia, Bimbo also living in Australia,Te Okewhare my mum she was whangai'd out (fostered out) by the out by Kahui Ariki- maori royal family. There were four  in tourwhangai'ed children.  3 girls and 1 boy. All the whangied (adopted children)
